Jazz Gone Bad
( J Pezzati )
He was fast on his feet
he was light, (he was quick) he was mobile
Always ahead of the play in a bad kind of way
Couldn't keep the man down 'round
feeding time he was tasteless
Was alone in this world not a person
(alive) liked what he craved
All the friends that he (had) made, all the
people he know were all losers
(All) losers in his game that he knew
they didn't know how to play
took long rides into town, rides into
town around evening.
The people on porches and swings wished
not long was his stay
Long is his stay?
How long his stay?
When is this guy gonna leave?
Wit ha hey and a ho and a don't cha know
everybody comin' down on old Joe
With a "hey" and a "hi" and a "what they hey?"
Can you get a word in? Can you get away?
Can you get along?
All the plans that he made all the
plans that he made were just temporary
He could never see furhter than
the dirt that was on his face
He blamed all the chaos on those
who couldn't smack him
just like his countrymen did
he was a product of his race
With a heave and a hoyour world's all aglow
It's as if you found the motehrload
With a hey and a Hi
Oh my, Oh my.
You know who you're trying to torpify
(just yourself)
